MODULUS OF ELASTIC

Modulus of elasticity of some of the construction materials:

1 GPA = 1000 Mpa OR 1000 N/Sqmm

       The relation ship between the Young's Modulus and shear modulus is:

               E = 2G (1+ µ)

    

        E = Young's modulus

        G = Shear Modulus

         µ = Poisson's ratio

    This is how teste is carried out at LAB.
